Short trip to Waco this weekend

These poor chicken's on their last ride headed for a table near you, maybe even your table!!

The roadways were filled with Bluebonnets.

The Adams Family was GREAT!!

30 minutes before showtime.  All the people must be going to get here at once.

The stage is dark but it won't be long till it is full of activity.

We look a little fuzzy!!!

The Cowin Center is filling up.

Orchestra pit isn't what it once was.  Just a few instruments make many sounds!

The cast along with a group of high school students from Denison, TX.  These high school students will be the first high schoolers in the nation to perform this musical.

Who Am I IN CHRIST?

I don't know where the following list came from, but  it looks like a great place to start reminding myself of who I am in Christ:

• I am God's child (John 1:12)
• I am Christ's friend (John 15:15)
• I am united with the Lord (1 Corinthians 6:17)
• I am bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
• I am a saint - set apart from sin and set apart to God - (Ephesians 1:1)
• I am a personal witness of Christ (Acts 1:8)
• I am the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14)
• I am a member of the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:27)
• I am free forever from condemnation (Romans 8:1-2)
• I am a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20)
• I am free from any charge against me (Romans 8:31-34)
• I am a minister of reconciliation for God (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
• I have access to God through the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:18)
• I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6)
• I cannot be separated from the love of God (Romans 8:35-39)

Your Secret

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

ROMANS 8:38–39

Do you have a secret. The secret is about something you have done. You have done something very wrong, and your secret is making you feel awful. You feel that you can’t tell people, because they won’t love you anymore. You are really scared of getting into loads and loads of trouble, too. So you keep your secret hidden away in your heart. And although you never speak of it, it is always there, like a giant mountain that you just can’t seem to get away from. Everywhere you turn, it seems as though the giant mountain is right in front of you, threatening to hurt you. You think that nothing you can do will make the mountain go away. You are right—there is nothing you can do, but there is something God has already done.
You need to hear Romans 8:38–39. You especially need to hear the very end of this passage, “. . . nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” What you don't believe is that even though your secret is big, God’s love for you is even bigger. God’s love makes the biggest secret mountain seem like a tiny anthill when compared to his love.
He promises that nothing will change his love for you if you are one of his children. There is nothing and no one stronger or bigger than God’s love for his family. His love never stops; it never gives up on you. The things you do can’t make him love you any less. All you have to do is believe he is as loving as he says he is, even though you know you don’t deserve his love. He loves you because he sees you in Jesus Christ. That means that when he looks at you, he sees only his perfect Son, Jesus.
You see, not only is God our treasure, but we are HIS treasure too. His love for HIS treasure is perfect, and it never changes—ever. Kind of hard to believe, right? Our God is just that good and that kind.

1) Do you have a big secret mountain that seems so big that nobody can love you?
2) Do you believe that there is something one of God’s kids could do that would make God love him less?
3) Do you understand what the Bible means when it says, “. . . in Christ Jesus our Lord”? If not, ask someone such as a pastor or trusted friend that loves the Lord to explain it or you can read it here.

I thank God everyday for John.  I'm glad I'm his and he is mine and I'm most thankful we are HIS!

When I'm Gone...

The End of Another Year...Goodbye 2013

Well, I want to thank the Lord for the year 2013.  He didn't have to give it to me but He did!  I don't understand all that took place in this year but He does and I'm trusting Him.  There have been lots of twists and turns.  Some relationships have had drastic changes take place.  There have been lots of hurts but also lots of healing.  It's very hard for me having grown children especially letting them be adults and make their own way.  I believe God wants me to love them but let them learn to trust Him as I have had to learn to trust Him.  I am still learning and I will be learning till He calls me home.  I pray tonight for the Year 2014 that all of my children and grandchildren will trust God for each and every step of their lives, but 1st and foremost I would ask The Father that if it would please Him; to save all of them for His good pleasure.  I pray that they can all learn to rest in His care.  In Jesus name I ask, Amen!

A quite and restful night with Kae and Pawpaw tonight as we await the arrival of the New Year 2014.
