Our day usually starts out by pouring our coffee . We then go out to let the dogs out of their kennel and give them their morning treat, a dog biscuit. Next we give the donkey's a donkey treat or 2. This morning when I saw Sunshine she had little tiny flowers all over her back. I don't know where she got those. If you click on the picture it will enlarge.
This is Prudence. She is our little banty hen. Lately she has been a little broody. She is sitting on all the eggs that get laid by all the hens. The problem with this is that they will never hatch. We don't have any roosters!! Well I was talking to my brother and he said he would find me some fertilized eggs and he did. He brought them out today. We marked them so we would know the eggs to leave under her. All the chickens seem to like to lay in the same next so she ends up sitting on all of them but we can take the ones that are not marked. I read that it only takes about 21 days or so to hatch out the little chicks. So, we are on to our adventure of seeing if we can have some baby chicks.
This is the other ladies...
Now we are all relaxing after a hard day of cleaning out the chicken coop.
What a way to relax your back.
