I have been in Austin all this past week but I thought I would show you a picture that I got to see every day on my way to work. It's not the greatest but I took the picture one handed while driving with traffic behind me; so give me a break OK. This is a picture of the Austin skyline but the main point is that the Texas Capital Building is in the very middle. I just thought this was a really neat view.
As I began my drive home from Austin I decided I just couldn't take the I-35 route since I had been in traffic all week so I took Hwy 31 route home. It was a much more pleasant drive. 
After I got home and was outside enjoying the wonderful weather, I saw a bird, a really big bird and it wasn't a buzzard. That's what you usually see in these East Texas parts.
It was an eagle, and of all the things to run it off...a Texas State Bird ran the eagle off.
