Today was a gorgeous and cool day that GOD has made and we went for a motorcycle ride to enjoy it. We left about 9:00am.

I walked out to our gate to wait for HFR to pull thru. I noticed our Saucer Magnolia tree also known as a Purple Tulip tree was gorgeous even though it was not in bloom. It has some strange looking pods on it. You might have to enlarge the picture by clicking on the picture to see them.

We then headed out through the city of Van, TX and on out FM 16 to the city of Lindale.

We are traveling along at a pretty good clip (speed). Anyone that knows HFR knows you don't ride a motorcycle slow!!! I take my camera with me on the back of a Honda Goldwing and I get some pretty good shots. This shot of this house/home reminds me of my daughter-in-love JAH. She is the one that taught me to look and think...I wonder who used to live there? I wonder what happened that the house/home is abandoned? My mind can really begin to wonder at this point.

In Lindale we turned and went out Hwy 69 to Faulkner Park. It is really a beautiful park with a great walking path.

If you are looking for beauty you can see it everywhere. God's handiwork is everywhere.

Even up a tree such as this long tall pine tree!

While we were walking along HFR got a phone call from our eldest. "Eldest" walked with us the rest of the walk. This is why HFR likes his cell phone. He's never out of touch!

This is a shot of the beautiful little lake that you walk around.

There are joggers and walkers but no wheels, it is for pediestians only. I really enjoyed seeing this grandma with her little grandson pointing out to him God's creation.

The ducks were out enjoying the weather as well. Wow, what a beautiful place to visit.

There is even beauty in this spiney sharp weed!

We finished out 2 mile walk then back on the motorcycle to cool off. :) We headed out Hwy 69N to FM 49 in Mineola. There was a train blocking the road so we decided we would try to find a way around it to no avail.

But I did see another abandoned house/home and my mind starts to wonder once again.

We made it back to FM 49 head toward FM 2869 then to Hwy 80 then to FM 14 in Hawkins.

Right before we got to Hawkins we stopped at a roadside park for a little rest off the bike. This is HFR, the love of my life.

He is plotting and planning our trip back home. From FM 14 we head toward FM 2710 at Red Springs where we take FM 452 Old Dallas/Shreveport Rd.

While on FM 454 we passed by this little church. It caught my eye because of the fans on the building. Now I know you are saying "What's so special about the fans"? Well when I was a little girl my granny (my mother's mother) lived at 5516 Feagan in Houston, TX. She had a fan just like this. It is a big ole attic fan turned on it's side and place in a window. It would pull air all the way through the house. In the Spring and Fall her house was cool as could be. Her house doesn't exist anymore, it has been replaced with condominiums.

Our travels continued over the river and through the woods. Actually over a couple of old wooden bridges.

See I really do carry my camera!!!

On down the road to FM 1253 and at Jamestown we turn onto FM 1805 then back to Hwy 110 in Van and back home. The day was great but it's always wonderful to be back home!!!

We have a wonderful young nephew that came out to exterminate our home after we got back from our ride. He was so busy I didn't get his picture but I did get a picture of his precious wife KF and son KF. Thanks MSF for a job well done. Oh, and BTW Cindy I got to meet Sadie. she's a cutie!
