My last puppy "Jake"

My little boy puppy Jake had to go to the vet today. He is such a pretty dog to me but I must say they are all pretty to me. I guess I am focusing on Jake today because he is getting neutered today.

I think our dogs and cats have intergrated...

I know that all who know us will find it hard to believe that after 2 years of living here that we finally have all but one box off the shop floor. They have been unpacked or put in storage in the loft of the shop. Well, the one box on the floor had signs of mice making it their new home. I don't mind them living somewhere else but not at my house. We called Kasie, our gopher, mole & mouse hunting dog to check out the box. When she got into the box everyone else came to see what she was doing. So as you can see; they are all best of friends; Bo, Dixie, Jigs, Kasie & Pete. No, you don't see Pete because he's out doing what an ADHD dog does best; RUN, SNIFF, RUN, SNIFF and RUN some more.

Morning Surprise!

Pete let us all know yesterday morning that he had found something. I think Pete was ready to scatter this poor birds feathers all over the pasture.
Everybody came to see what he had found. Even Kasie left her puppies to come see. Bo is a little more hesitate since it was out in the pasture. He's a little big and doesn't move fast enough to get away from the donkeys if they decide to chase the dogs and do that mean foot stomping business.

Bo feels safe if HFR goes with him! HFR went out to retrive the young Cattle Egret. He was kind of small so we think he was just young and couldn't fly to well yet.

HFR is a very kind guy! He took the young Cattle Egret and put him over the fence into the tree farm where all the other egrets are.

We have puppies!!!!

#1 arrived about 11:33pm 08/17/08 and they kept coming for a while.
The last was born at about 1:40am 08/18/08 or at least #7 was born. I will have to recheck in the morning; I'm tired. Kasie was taking her mothering seriously and cleaning them all up good while they were tying on the feed bag about 2:00am. Good Night or Good Morning, however you look at it.

UPDATE:
Kasie helped me count this morning about 7:00am and there were 8. I must have miscounted early this morning or she had another after we went in the house.

P.S. I have to give some credit to the daddy Pete. He shares in some pretty puppies.

Logan the helper...

The chicken coop is moving again...the chickens are ready for a little fresh grass, so they are moving once again.

LMH was a really big help by keeping Bo, Kasie & Pete occupied. LMH had a job on her hands with those 3!

Prudence is a great mom and the biddies are growing right along.

Picking up limbs!

We had lots of tree limbs to pick up due some heavy winds recently and some just because they were old and dead. We decided that today was the day. The weather was beautiful and we just needed to be outside. I must say we had lots of help!!
