Well our last puppy left today.

Bandy, our last little girl puppy left today. She has a new family in Marquez, TX. I met this little girl's mom in Centerville, TX the other day when I was delivering another puppy. I'm not a very good salesperson when it comes to my puppies but when people approach me I figure they want them. I talk to the Nicolette for a good while and she asked for our phone number and told me she would be at our house on Sunday afternoon. Lo and behold, she did it! Without a doubt she wanted Bandy. Bandy will have other 3 other canine friends, a new family that loves her already and 125 acres; wow exactly what a little beagle dog loves.

I was totally surprized when they told me this little girls name, it is the same as one of my granddaughters and they are the same age. How about that!

We now have a six pack of beagles

This is Jake and

this is Tinkerbelle. This will be the end of our beagle line. Bo came to us neutered then we had Ike neutered and Jake will be visiting Dr. Kauble within the next few months. We had just had Pete neutered when he got hurt had had to be put down. I sure miss Pete but he sure fathered some pretty puppies.

Don't forget we have Kasie our 1st beagle, then Bo who we got as a companion for Kasie, then Ike and Annabelle who are brother & sister (Kasie is their mother).

Freeze is hard on flowers

Back on February 11, 2009 I had the prettiest tree in my front yard.

This morning or maybe I should say over night we had temperatures in the 20's and now all the blooms are very sad looking.

Speaking of beauties. Look at these little beauties. They are all growing like weeds and doing very well.

Kasie, their momma is doing good as well. She has kind of taken a liking to being in the house. I just hope she doesn't get to acustomed to it because it won't be long before they are back to their backyard kennel. She has always been an outside dog and is not house broke, so you really have to watch her. Believe it or not she is really doing quite well.

Their daddy Pete has returned to his old self after his trip to see Dr. Kauble. It slowed him down for a day or 2 but he's back!!! We decided that sixteen children will be enough. This was his 2nd litter to father.

Update on the Puppies

Kasie went outside today for doggie necessities so I got a chance to pick up the puppies to see what we have. There are 4 girls and 4 boys and I don't believe there is a runt in the litter.

Kasie is a great momma!

Kasie's babies

This is the time when I saw what I believe to be the last puppy born. I'll let you know for sure later. It's about 6:25pm now, so there haven't been any puppies born in about 2 hours.

Kasie is really a good momma! Oh, I forgot to tell you there are 8 again...

This will be the last 8 though, Pete has an appointment Wednesday with Dr. Kauble.

Kasie is in labor!

Stay tuned...

I forgot to post a picture of Little Bit & her new owner

Birdie & Sadie

Sadie & Birdie went to their new home to live with Chad, Noah, Whitney, Jesse, Ricky, Gendy & Rudy.

Chad did a great job of getting things ready for their arrival. I believe his mother helped with some last minute difficulties (the dog house was bigger than the door). They solved the problem and the puppies have a very nice sleeping kennel. Now, these little beagles will test the fence lines, they will find a hole if there is one!! They are very curious little dogs.

I still need to get pictures with their new owners.

Our fence is complete!!

They started putting up the fence fabric this morning.
The 2 guys were pretty fast all things considered. They had losts of things to do that I would have never thought about. I'm glad they were doing it instead of me.

Bo really loves the puppies. He watches over them and plays with them. It just amazes me how good he is with them inspite of his size.

It got kind of late on me before I realized that I had not taken a picture of the gate that goes into the back yard. We worked really hard to day because after the fence guys left we proceeded to take down the old fence. Kasie, Bo, Pete and the puppies all like their new larger back yard.

Our 2nd puppy went to his new home today.

I called him Bubba. He is the one at the bottom of the picture (mostly black) on the right side. He is a very sweet little boy. I don't know if they will call him Bubba or not. They have another 4 month old puppy so Bubba will have a friend. I am really glad about that.

His new owner is David, our fence man and his wife. I hope they enjoy this sweet little boy.

Our 1st puppy went to her new home today.

This little Beagle beauty got a new home today with Morgan. My wonderful nephew Chad made the connection for us with a co-worker. I was kind of sad at the thought of one of the puppies leaving today but I know I can't give good care and love to 11 dogs. When Morgan got here I was immediately encouraged! She looked at the 2 puppies that I had for her to choose from and made her chose based on the puppy's reaction to her. The puppy gave her a kiss and melted her heart. Morgan then pulled out a new collar and a brand new ID tag just for "BELLA". She had already named her and the name fit her. I hope they will have a long, long love relationship; the "lady" and her dog.

Bella is the puppy at the bottom of the picture with the white stripe on the back of her head.

Thank you Morgan!!!

We are gonna get new windows...Yea!!

This is how my morning started. I went outside to feed the puppies while John gives snacks to all the other animals. The puppies just want to be loved on a little. John grabs the camera and this is what you get!!

After church we came home and decided to take a little motorcycle ride since it was such a beautiful day. While on the rode we got a call from our good friend Randy.

While John is talking to Randy on the phone (we did stop to have the conversation)
I decided to take a few pictures of what was around me. This is what you get...

Randy tells us that he has our 1st trial window. Yea!!! We head back to the house to go meet Randy at Love's Truck Stop to get the window. We got there and we decided to have a late lunch with Randy first at The Farmhouse. They have very good food there.

Then we went to load our window.

Thank you Randy and Atrium. Then Randy and HFR visit a little more. I do believe they both thoroughly enjoy each others company.

And then Randy is off to Meridan, MS and other stops. Drive safe Randy and come again!! Hopefully Diana will get to come again real soon.

The eye of Ike has passed...

The rain came down pretty hard about 2:25pm and continued for a bit but by 4:30pm it was only a light rain.

About 4:60pm we could tell the eye of Ike passed by the duckweed on the pond moved to the otherside.

The puppies were to concerned about the whole thing. They decided they were going to try the big dogs food. I thought it would probably be better for them to go get their puppy food. The kibble is a little smaller.

Can you tell there is a plate of food under all those puppies?
